The day has finally come to shut down this website and move on to life's next
challenge. In October of 1996, I took my first steps toward self-employment.
Almost ten years after that (May, 2006) I launched the website. Today, four
years later, I am winding up both to step into a position that will present an
entirely new set of challenges. Needless to say, my feelings are mixed. I have
thoroughly enjoyed working with job seekers to help them move successfully
through the job search process, and I will miss hearing from you. At the same
time, I'm excited at the prospect of learning a new business and meeting new
challenges.
As this will be my final message, I would like to acknowledge the person who
was instrumental in putting this website together and who continually answered
my questions and encouraged me. That person is Jill Pillon of SilverSwift and
Associates; without her knowledge and patience, this website would not exist.
To all of you – my loyal visitors – thank you. You made it all worthwhile. I
wish you all the best. And to those of you who continue to pursue your dream
job, remember:
~~~~~~~~
The person who gets hired is not necessarily the one who can do the job the
best;
but the one who knows the most about how to get hired.
